Looking for a zesty and creamy salad dressing? Try this easy homemade Caesar Salad dressing! This recipe is made with a handful of ingredients and is the perfect addition to a green salad.
I love a good Caesar salad. I order them a restaurants all the time. Caesar Dressing is east to make and can be put together in just a few minutes. Making you’re own also tastes so much better. This salad is the perfect side for pasta dishes like this Easy Three Cheese Tortellini Bake, or this Mostaccioli Pasta add a side of Garlic Bread for the perfect Italian dinner at home.
How to make Caesar Dressing:
Ingredients:
- Mayonnaise
- Dijon mustard
- Anchovy Paste
- Worcestershire sauce
- Lemon Juice
- Garlic
- Parmesan Cheese
- Fresh Cracked Pepper
Instructions:
- In a medium bowl whisk together the mayo, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce until combined.
- Add the garlic, parmesan cheese and anchovy paste and fresh cracked pepper whisk until smooth.
Substitutions and Variations:
Make it Healthier: You can use Greek Yogurt in place of mayonnaise for a lighter flavor and healthier version of this recipe.
Skip the Squeeze: If you have a bottle of lemon juice in the fridge you can skip squeezing the lemon and use two tablespoons of the bottled juice.
Anchovies: This recipe calls for anchovy paste. Now, I know you’re probably thinking that sounds gross. I know that’s what I thought BUT anchovies are an ingredient in traditional Caesar salad. I like the savoriness it brings to the salad but this ingredient is optional. Either way it’s a great salad dressing.
Other uses for Caesar Dressing:
- Caesar Chicken Salad Wraps
- Use as a vegetable dip in place of hummus or ranch
- Use is in place of mayo on sandwiches. It’s great with turkey, roast beef or chicken or fish.
Storage:
Refrigerator: Homemade Caesar dressing will last 4-5 days kept in the fridge. Store in a tightly sealed container such as a jar or bowl with fitted lid.
Freezer: I do not recommend freezing Caesar dressing as some of the ingredients will most likely separate while thawing.
I hope you and your family will love this recipe as much as we do! If you do try this recipe please come back and leave a comment letting me know how much you liked it!

I like using anchovy paste, coz I’m not really all that ok with anchovies and if you open a package then you have to figure out what to do with the rest. This looks so cool and refreshing and perfect for summer!
Thanks for sharing this with us at Throwback Thursday this week!
