Easy Skillet Lasagna #SundaySupper

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 24 oz. jar marinara sauce
  • 1 16 oz box of Bowtie pasta
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • salt and pepper


  1. In a large skillet over medium high heat brown one pound ground beef until is it no longer pink. Drain excess fat and return skillet to stove.
  2. Add chopped onion and peppers to skillet and cook until tender
  3. Pour in marinara sauce then add Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes, salt and pepper stir to combine.
  4. Bring mixture to a boil, add in pasta, reduce heat and cover, cook for 15 minutes stirring occasionally to prevent sticking
  5. Stir in Ricotta cheese
  6. Sprinkle Mozzarella on top and replace lid for a few minutes while cheese melts. If your skillet is oven safe you can place it under the broiler to melt the cheese.
