Slow Cooker Hawaiian BBQ Chicken

This Slow Cooker Hawaiian BBQ Chicken is such a delicious dinner idea that comes together in no time.  Tangy  barbecue sauce covers bite size chicken pieces slow cooked in a sweet and savory combination of bbq sauce, pineapple juice and brown sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds chicken breast chopped into bite size pieces
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 18 oz. barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • Scallions

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breast into bite sized pieces then season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl combine the eggs and cornstarch.
  3. chicken pieces in cornstarch egg mixture. Set aside.
  4. Heat up the oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
  5. Brown the chicken quickly in the pan. We are not looking to cook
  6. the chicken through, just get a little color on each side.
  7. Place the browned chicken in the bowl of the slow cooker.
  8. In a medium mixing bowl combine bbq sauce, pineapple juice and brown sugar

  9. Pour the sauce over the chicken Stir everything to combine.
