Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies are chewy chocolate cookies loaded with creamy peanut butter chips that are ready in just 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 10 oz package peanut butter chips

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl use an electric mixer to cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla then mix until combined
  2. In a medium mixing bowl whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt
  3. Add the dry mixture into the wet mixture and stir until well combined

  4. With a spoon stir in peanut butter chips reserving some to press into the tops of the scoops fo dough
  5. Scoop the dough into balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Beke a 350 degrees for 8 minutes, then remove cookies from oven and use a spatula to move the cookies to a wire rack to cool.

Recipe Notes

The cookies should be slightly under baked when removed from the oven to ensure they will remain moist and chewy once cooled.

Space your cookie dough out on the cookie sheet. The cookies spread while baking. Giving them room to spread will prevent them from loosing shape and becoming attached to each other in the oven.
