Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bag of peeled and cut baby carrots
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash carrots and pat dry
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium high heat bring carrots, water, butter and brown sugar to a boil
  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for five minutes
  4. Add salt and pepper and stir
  5. Turn heat to high to high and cook until all the water evaporates (around 5 minutes)
  6. Remove from heat
  7. Garnish with parsley flakes (optional)
