Wash carrots and pat dry

In a medium saucepan over medium high heat bring carrots, water, butter and brown sugar to a boil

Reduce heat to low and simmer for five minutes

Add salt and pepper and stir

Turn heat to high to high and cook until all the water evaporates (around 5 minutes)

Remove from heat

Garnish with parsley flakes (optional)
