Fried Ravioli

Savory, cheesy, delicious Fried Ravioli is a fun easy to make totally addictive appetizer that is perfect for a party or game day.

Ingredients

  • 1 20 oz. package fresh or frozen cheese ravioli
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

Instructions for frying:

  1. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper
  2. If using frozen ravioli bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook ravioli for three minutes, drain and set aside
  3. In a large shallow bowl beat eggs
  4. In a second shallow bowl combine Italian bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese and garlic powder
  5. Dip ravioli in egg then allow excess to drip off before tossing the ravioli in the bread crumb mixture
  6. Place breaded ravioli on prepared baking sheet repeat until all the ravioli are breaded
  7. In a large skillet or pan heat 2-3 inches or vegetable, canola or peanut oil to 325º
  8. Carefully drop several breaded ravioli in the hot oil and fry for about 2 minutes per side
  9. Remove from oil with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel lined baking sheet or tray to drain

  1. Preheat oven to 425º
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  3. If using frozen ravioli bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook ravioli for three minutes, drain and set aside
  4. In a large shallow bowl beat eggs
  5. In a second shallow bowl combine Italian bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese and garlic powder
  6. Dip ravioli in egg then allow excess to drip off before tossing the ravioli in the bread crumb mixture
  7. Place breaded ravioli on prepared baking sheet repeat until all the ravioli are breaded then place in a 425º for 15 minutes or until the ravioli are a golden brown

Recipe Notes

Note: you can bread the ravioli the day before and refrigerate over night by placing them on a baking sheet and covering it securely with plastic wrap
