Easy Skillet Green Beans

  • 1 pound fresh or frozen green beans if using frozen thaw them first
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 cloves garlic minced or 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. In a large skillet heat olive oil over medium high heat. Sprinkle in red pepper flakes and stir to coat.
  2. Add green beans to skillet and cook for five minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Pour in water, garlic, salt and pepper toss together. Reduce heat and cover, cook for five minutes.
