This amazing Slow Cooker Peach Cobbler only needs five ingredients and is still packed with flavor from the spiced peaches to buttery crust you’ll love everything about this easy dessert!

Peach cobbler topped with ice cream in a white dish.

I love Peach Cobbler, there’s something so wonderful about the combination or peaches, cinnamon, and a buttery crust especially topped with a scoop of ice cream. This cobbler starts with a surprising ingredient, a white cake mix. Cake mixes are surprisingly versatile and can be used to make lots of different desserts not just cake. Some of my favorite recipes that start with a cake mix are these Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies, Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars and this Pumpkin Dump Cake.

A cooked peach with cinnamon sits beside the cobbler in a white dish.

Ingredients:

  • sliced peaches in heavy syrup
  • ground cinnamon
  • light brown sugar
  • white cake mix
  • unsalted butter

Special Equipment:

slow cooker or crock pot

Instructions:

  1. Grease the inside of the slow cooker with non-stick spray or butter.
  2. In the bowl of a slow cooker stir together the peaches, ground cinnamon, and part of the brown sugar.
  3. In a separate mixing bowl add the cake mix and remaining brown sugar whisk together.
  4. Evenly sprinkle the cake mix and brown sugar mixture over the peaches.
  5. Spread the butter slices over the cake and brown sugar mixture.
  6. Place the lid on the slow cooker and set it to high for 2 1/2 to three hours or until the cake brown sugar mixture it golden brown.
  7. Serve hot and top with ice cream if desired.

Substitutions and Variations:

  • Add some chopped nuts with the cake mix brown sugar mixture for more flavor and texture. I recommend pecans, walnuts or almonds.
  • You could also add 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract to the peaches for a little deeper flavor.
  • I used a white cake mix but yellow cake mix will work as well. The flavor will be slightly different but still delicious.

I hope you and your family will love this recipe as much as we do! If you do try this recipe please come back and leave a comment letting me know how much you liked it!

Happy Baking Y’all!
