Poppy Seed Chicken Dip is a great appetizer to serve at a holiday party or an event anytime of year.
This dip is amazing. It’s so good that once your friends and family try it you’ll be asked to make it over and over and over. I’m serious, you’ll be making this for birthday parties, wedding showers, baby showers, Christmas dinner… well you get the idea.
This dip is always a crowd pleaser. I’ve made it for family, for friends, and even once for the volunteers and staff at blood drive at my church. Each time I’ve come home with an empty bowl.
This recipe calls for cooked shredded chicken. I like to use two boneless skinless chicken breast baked at 350 for 30 minutes. A rotisserie chicken is perfect if you’re in a hurry. If you choose to use a rotisserie chicken be sure to remove the skin before shredding.
After preparing the chicken you’ll want to set it aside while you combine the cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic salt, and poppy seed. Once these ingredients are combined begin adding the chicken to the mixture. I recommend using a fork to instead of a spoon for stirring. I feel like a fork loosen the mixture slightly making it easier to stir.
Once all the ingredients are combined put dip in a tightly sealed container and chill in the refrigerator for at least three hours. Serve with with crackers, toast points or sliced baguettes.
Happy Cooking Y’all!
