Honey Garlic Chicken Bites are crispy bites of chicken made baked to a golden brown; then tossed in a delicious, savory sauce made with honey and garlic. This restaurant quality take out classic is made easy with a my special time saving shortcut. This easy chicken recipe is sure to become a new family dinner favorite everyone will love!
How to make Honey Garlic Chicken Bites:

Ingredients:
- Frozen Chicken Bites or Popcorn Chicken
- Honey
- Soy Sauce
- Rice Vinegar or Apple Cider Vinegar
- Chicken Broth
- Olive Oil
- Fresh Garlic or Garlic Powder
- Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
- Green Onions (garnish)
Instructions:
- Prepare the chicken in the oven or air fryer according to the directions, set aside.
- In a large wok or skillet over medium heat warm the olive oil then add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. About one minute.
- Add the chicken broth, vinegar, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes (if using) whisk to combine. Simmer for 10 minutes stirring occasionally. The sauce will slightly thicken while simmering.
- Add the prepared chicken bites into the skillet. Toss until the chicken is fully coated. Turn the heat to low and allow the chicken to sit in the sauce for 2-4 minutes tossing occasionally.
Substitutions and Variations:
Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast: You can make this recipe with bite sized pieces of prepared chicken breasts. If using baked chicken skip step one and follow remaining instructions as stated.
No Popcorn Chicken? No Problem: To do so, seasoned bite-sized pieces of chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to taste. Toss in cornstarch until well coated. Fry in ½ inch oil in a deep skillet over medium heat until lightly browned and an internal temperature reaches 165°F. Drain on paper towels and fry the remaining chicken; proceed with the recipe as written.
Garlic Powder: I used fresh garlic but you can easily exchange the cloves of garlic for garlic powder. If you are using garlic powered you will need to use 3 teaspoons of garlic powder.
Severing Suggestions:
Garnish these Honey Garlic Chicken Bites with a thinly sliced green onions and serve over rice.
Other serving ideas include;
Lettuce Wraps for lunch or a light dinner. Serve the chicken chicken in large Romaine lettuce leaves to make delicious chicken wraps.

Storage:
Refrigerator: Store leftover Honey Garlic Chicken Bites in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three to fives days.
Freezer: Cool the chicken completely. Then place it in an airtight container or zip top freezer bag. Keep in the freezer for up to the three months.
Thawing and Reheating: To thaw frozen chicken place in the fridge overnight. Reheat in a skillet and add a splash of water or chicken stock to loosen up the sauce. You can also reheat in the microwave in 45 second increments tossing the chicken then reheating for an additional 30 seconds until heated through.

Honey Garlic Chicken Bites
Ingredients
- 18 ounces frozen chicken bites cooked
- 2 cups rice cooked
- ⅔ cup honey
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 4 tablespoons rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 6 cloves garlic minced
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons green onion chopped
Instructions

Cook the chicken according to the directions. This will take roughly 10 minutes.

While the chicken is cooking cook the rice according to the directions. This will take roughly under 10 minutes.

In a saute pan over medium heat add the honey, chicken broth, white vinegar, soy sauce, garlic powder, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Occasionally stir for 10 minutes or until slightly reduced.

Add the chicken directly from the oven or air fryer into the skillet. Toss for 2-3 until the chicken is fully coated.

Serve with rice and top with green onions.
